7 Day Pixi Glow Tonic Challenge

7 Day Pixi Glow Tonic Challenge

Since becoming a mum, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to look after my skin. The sleepless nights and constant exhaustion of mothering three young children has left my skin looking dull, pale and grey. Someone suggested I use Pixi’s Glow Tonic so I started a 7-day challenge to see if it would make a difference.

Dull, lifeless skin

Before I began the challenge, my skin was looking a bit blah! I was pale with patches of dry skin and generally looking tired and flat. I began using the Glow Tonic every evening after cleansing my face followed by e.l.f.’s Hello Hydration moisturising cream.

Before looking pale and dull. After 4 days, rosier complexion and smoother skin.

By day four I could notice a difference. My skin definitely had a rosier glow and I looked a bit more vibrant than I had for a long time. My skin felt smoother and healthier though I still had a few problem areas.

Seven days later…

Once the seven-day challenge was up, I noticed that not only was my face glowing as promised by Pixi, it had also removed all the little lumps and bumps that had plagued me for years. My skin is so smooth and clear and looks younger (at least I think it does!). Take a look for yourself (and ignore the crazy hair!).

No make-up at all in this photo – just clear, rosy complexion

Conclusion

I’m always skeptical about products that promise the world, especially when it comes to skincare. However, I wasn’t disappointed at all by Glow Tonic. I’m so pleased with the results that I will definitely continue using it.

A few points to note though:

  1. Make sure you use sun protection while using this product as it leaves your skin a bit more sensitive and prone to sunburn
  2. If you already have sensitive skin, use it before bed as it can cause some redness, and only use it once per day
  3. Follow up with a really good moisturiser. I use e.l.f. Hello Hydration which is really light but moisturises really well and doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky or oily.

If you’ve done your own 7-day challenge, I’d love to hear how it went. Drop a comment below and let me know how you got on.

Love,

Michelle x
